Privacy

TanTanHua does not require an account for Immediate Translator and does not maintain a TanTanHua conversation database in this release.

When you use speech recognition, your browser or operating-system speech service may process microphone audio according to that provider's own terms and privacy practices. TanTanHua receives the recognised text in the page.

Recognised text is sent over the internet to the configured translation service so that a translation can be returned. The translated text is then spoken using your device's text-to-speech capability.

Conversation messages are held only in the current browser page and are cleared when the page session is closed or refreshed. Do not use TanTanHua for highly confidential information.

Microphone

Microphone access is requested only when you start the translator. You can revoke permission in your browser settings at any time.
